It was so nice not having a nurse visit today! Today has been pretty uneventful for the most part. Trevor seems to be feeling better. He’s eating and hasn’t gotten sick at all today. He still has the sniffles and a cough but that is so much better than what we’ve been dealing with.
Travis is coming down with it too. He has been stuffed up most of the day. My brother who lives with us is also sick with a cold. I ~really~ hope Jayden and I don’t get it.
Today was my first day home solo with the “kids” since Travis went back to school after being out for nearly a week. It didn’t go too badly though there were a few times when it was difficult because both of them were crying for my attention at the same time. At least it was only for 4 hours.
Thunderstorms started at 9:30 so we had to unplug her again. I was going to leave the blanket on her but storms were forecasted for most of the night so I figured I might as well enjoy snuggling with my babe cordless. :o) As much as I hate it storms I must say it was nice. Though still a little annoying because the unit costs $100 a day to rent and I’m not sure how much insurance is going to cover. So the longer she’s unplugged the longer we’ll have to rent it.
At about 3am as I was in the middle of a diaper change the power went out just as I was reaching for a diaper. Talk about timing! It was out for about an hour and a half. So much for going back to sleep! I can’t sleep very well anyway during thunderstorms and without the fan to drown out some of it I didn’t even attempt to for awhile.
We went downstairs and Joy of joys the basement is flooding! We couldn’t even use the wet/dry vac to start bailing water because we didn’t have any power!
