2 month checkup

We love our new doctor. She answered all of our questions plus some. She didn't rush us out the door. She interacted with Trevor. We are very happy so far with her. More so than any doctor we've taken the kids to. So she's a keeper!

I was guessing that Jayden was over 13 pounds. I was right on. Here's her stats:

Weight: 13 pounds 4.5 oz, 97% (I told ya she's a chunk)
Length: 22.5", 50%
Head: 39cm, 55%

She got her shots (boo hoo) complete with 3 Wiley Coyote band aids. Should I keep them for the baby book? She screamed of course. But it was nothing a few minutes of nursing couldn't cure. She was asleep by the time we got to the car. Other than a tiny bit of cradle cap between her eyebrows she's perfectly healthy. Well not that cradle cap is unhealthy. She smiled and coo'd through most of the appointment. Well up until they poked her anyway.

Travis was bored while we waited and went a little crazy with the camera. He was taking random pictures without looking. He got some good shots and some not so good shots. There is a really nice one on an odd angle of me yawning. NICE!

Trevor was a handful as always. The doctor pointed out there were books in the drawer under the bunch. Much to Trevor's delight there was torn pages in there. Tearing up books, or any paper for that matter, happens to be one of his favorite pastimes. Trevor even got some stickers from the nurse.

Oh, and it was kinda neat that they put her stats on a cute little sticker. That will be nice for her baby book. I put her in the cutest little blue dress I won on ebay. I figured I have all of these cute little dresses that she has never worn and won't fit into much longer so I'm gonna doll her up! She has a bunch of cute outfits she's going to be wearing over the next few weeks so I'll probably be snapping a bunch of pictures!

I'm so bad

I come home from a "quick" trip to the store. I walk in the door and ask Travis kind of sheepishly, "Honey, what would you think if I told you I was pregnant?" He spun around in his chair with mouth dropped and said, "WHAT?!?!?!" He looked horrified. Poor guy I think I scared him a bit.

My quick trip to the store was for diapers and wipes which we are nearly out of. I came home with: ice cream sandwiches (2 kinds) Star crunch, 4 kinds Granola bars, 3 packages of candy bars, 3 packages of fudge stripe cookies, peaches in heavy syrup when I normally buy only lite, tomato soup for work. This is a grocery trip like those I took when pregnant.

Though it is highly unlikely that I'm pregnant at this rate I'll be gaining weight for another reason.

So I suppose based on Trav's reaction now is not the time to talk about having another!

Freecycle finds

I got a huge barbie dollhouse for when Jayden gets older. It is almost as high as my waist. It's pretty old but in good condition. And if she never uses it no big deal, it was free! It will live in the basement until she's old enough for it.

I also got a booster chair for Trevor. We already have one that is also a portable high chair. I thought it might be handy to keep one in the car. Soon Trevor will have to move out of the high chair and into a booster because Jayden will be needing the high chair.

I also got a bike for my brother, it just needs the tires aired up and a new chain. And a bag of clothes that I'm going to Re-freecycle. They were way bigger than I thought they would be and kinda yucky.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Yeah for
freecycle! Someone posted their entire set of kitchen appliances about 10 years old. Way newer than the crap we have but we didn't get those. :o( I wasn't quick enough on the reply I suppose.

Sleepy Girl

I often nurse while I'm on the computer. I'll check email, surf the net, blog or read blogs, fiddle with photoshop, or balance my checkbook. Jayden often falls asleep while I nurse her. Sometimes I just don't want to put her down. Other times I want to put her down but I'm afraid she'll wake up. So I hold her a lot while she sleeps. Then I get to witness the sleepy smiles and giggles that I would miss if she were asleep elsewhere. She sighs, grunts, and sometimes whimpers in her sleep. I wonder what she's dreaming about.

She snuggles against my tummy laying on the boppy pillow. Tonight she was sleeping so soundly I had to capture the moment. This picture was REALLY hard to take because I had to put the camera over my head to get a decent angle. It only took about 15 shots to get a decent one. I'm glad I didn't wake her up! Thank goodness for digital cameras. I can take a ton of pictures to get one that turns out just perfect. I don't know what I did before digital cameras. Wasted a lot of film, that's for sure!

Who's Who

I was so happy to see Jayden in this pose because I ~loved~ this picture of Trevor. How funny that they both wound up in the same position!

Thanks Grandpa G!

Grandpa got Trevor a sandbox. He really enjoys playing in it. Hopefully we can get the grass to grow in our fenced in side yard. That will be Trevor's playground. It was the dog run when we had dogs and they pretty much killed the grass. We've been trying to get it to grow for about 3 weeks now and it's just coming in patchy. We're on round 2 of seeding it. I think we're going to have to go at least another round.

Boys and their toys

Tonight we (well Travis actually) cleaned up and rearranged Trevor's room and set up his train that Grandma H got him for Christmas. It's really a clever little gizmo. It's a Fisher-Price "Toots the Train." Trevor seemed to enjoy watching it. He's still to little to fully operate it but he has fun watching it. I think Travis enjoys it more at the moment than Trevor does. He couldn't help but play with it when he took Trevor up to bed. :o)

We hadn't put it up until tonight because we hadn't had room for it and Trevor was a little too young for it. Travis has been wanting to change Trevor's bed into a toddler bed. It's one of those 4-in-1 cribs. I've been hesitant because I don't think Trevor is ready to have free reign in his room. I have images in my mind of clothes from his dresser strewn everywhere and him playing with his toys in the middle of the night instead of sleeping.

While all of these are justifiable concerns, in reality those are just a cover for my real concern; that my baby boy is growing up right in front of my eyes. ~sniff sniff~ It seems like just yesterday that I was holding him in my arms watching him sleep like I do now with Jayden. Or that I was up nursing him in the middle of the night, hoping against hope that the next night he would sleep through the night.

These baby days go way too fast. I'm trying my hardest to appreciate each moment of Jayden's infancy as I know very soon they will all be just a fleeting memory and I'll be trying to keep her a baby.

Not as young as I used to be

Trevor seems to have been attempting to position himself to do sommersaults. So I helped him out a few times. He has yet to do one on his own. So how does one go about teaching a toddler to sommersault? This mama seems to think by demonstrating said activity would be a good start.

Yeah, not such a good idea. I might add that I haven't done a sommersault in ohhhh maybe 10-15 years at least. How hard can it be right? Well as I put my head to the ground and contemplated the easiest way to get my feet to go over my head for a second I thought maybe it wasn't such a good idea. But then I went for it. It kinda hurt and I heard a few snaps and crackles and Trevor thought it was about the funniest thing ever. So what do I do? Thinking it would be a lot easier the second time I went again. Bad mistake! I heard a loud pop in my back and instant pain and now I have a headache too. LOL, can one be crippled by sommersaults? If it hasn't happened before I may be the first. Good thing I got all my laundry done for the weekend. I may be on the couch for a few days.

So did teaching by demonstration work? Ummm that would be no I think. I'm sure my attempt didn't even resemble a sommersault.

I'm off to go lay on a heating pad. Is it heat or ice for a new injury? I forget.

2 months old already?!?!?!

How can it be that 2 whole months have passed since my baby girl was born! It is amazing how quickly time flies. Jayden is doing better about not having to be held ALL the time and enjoys looking at her Winnie the Pooh mobile over her pack and play. She grins all the time now and it is super easy to make her smile. All it takes is a stroke of her cheek, enthusiastic baby babble, or even just the sight of her mama first thing in the morning or coming home from work. She's quite the chubby baby and loves to nurse. Though lately she's been fighting me a bit while nursing. I think it is because she prefers the slower flow of the bottle.

She's a chubby little girl. It wasn't long ago I bought the pants she's wearing in these pictures at a yard sale. I remember thinking it would be awhile before she would fit into them. This is the first time she wore them and they are really tight on her. So are most of her 0-3 onsies. Most of her sleepers are too short for her. She's going to be in 3-6 month clothes anyday now!

She is starting to laugh in her sleep now so I know daytime giggles aren't too far away. She is also starting to coo a bit too. Her 2 month checkup is on Tuesday and she'll be getting her shots. We are trying a new pediatrician so hopefully that goes well. We were not satisfied with the clinic affiliated with the hospital. The hospital gets enough of our money anyway. We went to another family practice clinic and don't feel like they know enough about infants. The doctor told us we could give Jayden ibuprofen and then before we left the nurse came back and said she was too young for ibuprofen. Yikes, what would have happened if gave it to her.

Campfire without camping

Our Memorial Day weekend tradition is camping. We've done it every year. This year I wasn't too keen on camping with a busy toddler and a 2 month old infant. So we declined camping this year. Our friends still went so we went out to visit them. We enjoyed the fire, grilling brats, a few beers, and of course making smores. :o)

I'm enjoying my 3 day weekend. I'm doing a bit more decluttering/pitching over the next few days. I've been having a pitch fest the last month or so, both at work and at home. In the 3 weeks I've been back to work I've probably tossed 3 or 4 shopping carts worth of "junk." Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me in the rear as I've tossed some stuff I'm not sure I should have. But I was extremely tired of looking at it.

Once I get my housework done, hopefully tonight, I'll have the rest of my "weekend" to relax. I think I might work on scanning in pictures I have on loan from my mom. I have the huge task of organizing probably about 35 years worth of pictures and getting them into photo albums. My mom wasn't very organized in that area and she gives them to me as she uncovers them. So someday I will spend a fortune on photo albums to finish the task. In the mean time, I'm going to scan them in so everyone can have the pictures. :o)

Here's a few picture I took last night when we were "camping." As you can see Trevor was pretty much at the end of his rope.

What the?!?!?!

Trevor is such a silly boy. I hear him laughing in the other room and glance over to witness him chewing on the rubber feet/pads of a toy making a squeaking noise that he thought was extremely funny. A few minutes later I look over to witness this...

I even took some video.

Apparently he figured out that if he sat on the same toy (actually a base of a toy) and slowly stood up that it would stay hooked somehow onto his diaper and pants!!! What possessed him to sit on it is beyond me but now that he has learned this little trick he is happy to repeat it over and over and over! I can't help but laugh at my silly boy.

The toy by the way is the leapfrog discovery ball. He has had more fun with the base than the ball itself, not that it is a whole lot of fun dead batteries! We've got a lot of that going on around here lately. It's going to take a whole afternoon to put new batteries in half of his toys. This was on the 23rd, I was lazy in getting the pictures off my camera until now.

SLEEP!!!

Last night was wonderful! Jayden slept for 7 1/2 hours straight! That was the longest stretch of sleep so far. I had a feeling she was going to sleep good because she had been wide awake most of the evening. I woke up feeling soooo refreshed! Hopefully we will have a repeat tonight.

Before I was a mom...

I got this in a forward and thought I would share

Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put themdown.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutesto make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Sweet dreams

Today Jayden started laughing in her sleep. I was holding her while she dozed admiring her precious face and she cracked a big wide mouth smile. Then her body started to shake with a silent belly laugh. That continued for a few more times. Then she giggled outloud. I'm soooo looking forward to her being more talkative and interactive. NOT that I want to rush a single moment of the precious newborn days. Ok, well maybe the not sleeping through the night. I could rush that right along. But on second thought, I really do love the silent middle of the night nursings. At least during those times I'm awake enough to sit up to nurse and stay awake, rather than nursing laying our sides.

Trip down South

Sunday we went to visit my grandparents, mom and brothers. I had been planning the trip since even before going on maternity leave. I wanted my grandparents to see Jayden before I returned to work. Well a lot has changed since I originally planned on going.

My grandpa was put in a nursing home a few weeks ago. He had been falling a lot and my grandma could no longer care for him. He was not very happy about going and pretty much went kicking and screaming. He's been giving the nurses a run for their money. He's always been a little squirelly. I was thinking that he's probably making a few of them wish they had chosen other career paths. My aunt says that they all thing he's funny.

He was in good spirits when we visited and enjoyed holding the kids. Trevor even sat with him for awhile and he NEVER sits for any length of time.

The other change is that my grandma is in the hospital. I never would have seen that one coming. She had an anuerism a week ago friday (or thursday?) She had a procedure done on friday that involved inserting something called a coil into it. When mom first told me I thought she had brain surgery because she didn't give me much detail as the phone was about to die. Well this procedure actually involves inserting the coils to the anuerism via a catheter through an artery usually done through the groin. Grandma's was inserted through an artery in her arm. She was doing good on Saturday I hear, saying how much she wanted to see Jayden when we came down. Talking, color was good. She's in Surgical ICU.

So I figured when we went on Sunday I'd be able to talk to her and she could see the kids. She was pretty much out of it. I guess she was really tired and things finally had caught up with her. She was only awake for brief moments and not completely coherent. We decided against bring the kids back. She wouldn't have really known they were there anyway.

Then on Tuesday mom called and said that she had fluid on her brain and they had to operate. I guess with her age it's anybodys guess as to how things will turn out in the long run. Only time will tell. I've been praying a lot that last few weeks. From what I hear from my mom she is recovering well and looking good.

On Sunday we also got to see my 2 younger brothers briefly. Tim was working, he's a cook at a really nice Italian restaraunt. So we stopped in to visit him briefly before we went to eat at McDonalds... we are too poor to eat at the place where he works! My youngest brother Jim met us there.

The first picture is of my mom with Jayden. The second is Jim with the kids.

Mission organization

Not that any of you reading probably care about what I'm posting now. This is mainly for my family journal I'm making.

I had a ton of things I planned to do while on maternity leave. In addition to spending time with my babes of course. I'm happy to say I completed most of it. Or at the very least parts of most of it.

~ Office cleaned and organized top to bottom - Check! That was a big project because as I posted earlier it was a MESS.
~ Attic organized - Check! I got everything into rubbermaids, labeled and sorted. Now I can actually find stuff up there. It's not clean but very organized.
~ Jayden's room put together - Almost done. I have a few things there that don't belong. I also need to get her teddy bears put out. Someday I'll have to make her curtains. It was my craft room and it was packed full of stuff. I have done a serious purge of my fabric, crafting and scrapbook stuff. What is remaining is located in various containers of the house. A closet in Jayden's room houses the majority of stuff that will be regularly used as well as old photos and albums. My scrapbook paper and some other scrapbook stuff in the front hall closet. The stairwell to the attic has a bunch of stuff. And 2 totes of fabric in the attic.
~ Kitchen cleaned/organized from top to bottom - Not quite. I need to organize a few cabinets and clean the fridge. But I did scrub the floor on my hands and knees with a scrubby and even got the baseboards and under the cabinets. AND I scrubbed all of our cabinets.
~ Trevors room cleaned/organized - Check! Well... just a few things out of place
~ Front foyer cleaned - Check!
~ All laundry done/put away - Almost done. 2 loads left of stuff that has to soak. All of the non fitting clothes have been stored in their proper totes in the attic by size. I had too big/too small clothes EVERYWHERE and no real system to store them. Now they are super organized. :o)
~ Recipe collection in Mastercook organized - work in progress... I have them about halfway categorized
~ Baby announcements sent - Envelopes are addressed, I just need to make the announcements and actually send them.
~ Decluttering in general -Check! We dumped a vanload of stuff at freecycle event, I took a van FULL of cardboard to recycle, and our garbage cans/recycle container have been FULL everyweek.

I have learned a few things about myself the last 6 weeks. The biggest is that I'm good at putting things away if and only if the have a permanent home to go to. Baskets, storage drawers and boxes, and my label maker are my friends. :o)

Just when you think it's safe...

...To feed him a sloppy dinner because he knows "kind of" how to use a spoon he thinks it would be more fun to use his fingers. Ohhhh well, he needed a bath anyway.

Photoshop magic!!!

I ~LOVE~ photoshop elements. I just learned how to take unwanted objects out of pictures and replace with background. This picture is the original of the picture in the previous post. I think it looks much better without my leg in it!

Here's the link to a tutorial I used

Brotherly love

Trevor absolutely adores his little sister. Everytime I'm carrying Jayden across the room he plops himself on the middle of the floor for me to sit down with him so that he can "chat" with her. He sometimes gets mad if I don't sit down with him to let him visit with her.

When I sit down on the floor I'll lay her down in front of me and he lays on his side next to her. He will get as close as he can to her and sometimes tries to lay on top of her. He will be nose to nose with her and talk to her. This morning she tried to latch onto his nose and he thought that was absolutely hysterical! He laughs if she coughs, sneezes or makes any kind of noise. And he really laughs when she burps or toots. He gives her all kinds of "mwah" kisses that Travis and I don't often get. He reserves those mostly for Jayden and his stuffed animals. He gives her hugs by putting his head on her chest and saying, "ahhhh." He has started trying to pick her up and gets mad when I don't let him do it. If she cries, he gets concerned and will run to her if he can and say, "kay." Telling her it's okay. I tried to get it on video but he gets a little distracted whenever I pull out the camera so this is as close as I could get. Click here for link. I created a family website to host videos. I have a ton of videos there so feel free to check it out.

Baby talk

Jayden somewhat started cooing last night in the middle of the night. It sounded still like a "wah" but it wasn't a cry. She continued doing it today and has been in a good mood all morning. She even laid on her playmat for about 30 minutes and didn't cry, just did her "wah" talking thing.

It's a good treat for me since I'm really sad today that I have to go back to work at 3pm. :o(

Funny videos

The first video has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen. Baby belly laughes are the greatest, take it times four... too cute! Don't watch the 2nd video if you are offended by foul language. This is why I could never have a parrot. I'm sure it's mouth would be just as foul. Ok it does say some words I personally don't use!

"ohhh no"

Trevor has finally learned the word no. Usually combined with a shake of the head. His no actually sounds a little more like new. He also says "oh neeeew"

Other words he's learned in the last week are "fo" for phone, "down," "fru" is fruit, food, or telling us he wants to eat. He also says "pe-u" (stinky) and "ahhhh key" (ackey.) His sister is "day-den" said in a sing song voice.

Worth a read

This seems to be making the mommy-blog circuit, so sorry if you've seen it before. Just my opinion, but this is really worth a read. It made my heart clench up and my eyes well with tears. I think I may just be a better mommy tomorrow because I read this tonight.

From Anna Quindlen, Newsweek Columnist and Author:

All my babies are gone now. I say this not in sorrow but in disbelief.I take great satisfaction in what I have today: three almost-adults,two taller than I am, one closing in fast. Three people who read thesame books I do and have learned not to be afraid of disagreeing withme in their opinion of them, who sometimes tell vulgar jokes that makeme laugh until I choke and cry, who need razor blades and shower geland privacy, who want to keep their doors closed more than I like.Who, miraculously, go to the bathroom, zip up their jackets and movefood from plate to mouth all by themselves. Like the trick soap Ibought for the bathroom with a rubber ducky at its center, the baby isburied deep within each, barely discernible except through the unreliable haze of the past.

Everything in all the books I once poured over is finished for me now.Penelope Leach., T. Berry Brazelton., Dr. Spock. The ones on siblingrivalry and sleeping through the night and early-childhood education, have all grown obsolete. Along with Goodnight Moon and Where the WildThings Are, they are battered, spotted, well used. But I suspect thatif you flipped the pages dust would rise like memories. What thosebooks taught me, finally, and what the women on the playground taughtme, and the well-meaning relations --what they taught me, was that they couldn't really teach me very much at all.

Raising children is presented at first as a true-false test, thenbecomes multiple choice, until finally, far along, you realize that itis an endless essay. No one knows anything. One child responds well topositive reinforcement, another can be managed only with a stern voiceand a timeout. One child is toilet trained at 3, his sibling at 2.

When my first child was born, parents were told to put baby to bed onhis belly so that he would not choke on his own spit-up. By the timemy last arrived, babies were put down on their backs because ofresearch on sudden infant death syndrome. To a new parent thisever-shifting certainty is terrifying, and then soothing. Eventuallyyou must learn to trust yourself. Eventually the research will follow.I remember 15 years ago poring over one of Dr. Brazelton's wonderfulbooks on child development, in which he describes three differentsorts of infants: average, quiet, and active. I was looking for asub-quiet codicil for an 18-month old who did not walk. Was theresomething wrong with his fat little legs? Was there something wrongwith his tiny little mind? Was he developmentally delayed, physicallychallenged? Was I insane? Last year he went to China . Next year he goes to college. He can talk just fine. He can walk, too.

Every part of raising children is humbling, too. Believe me, mistakeswere made. T hey have all been enshrined in the, "Remember-When-Mom-Did Hall of Fame." The outbursts, the temper tantrums, the badlanguage, mine, not theirs. The times the baby fell off the bed. Thetimes I arrived late for preschool pickup. The nightmare sleepover. The horrible summer camp. The day when the youngest came barreling outof the classroom with a 98 on her geography test, and I responded,"What did you get wrong?". (She insisted I include that.) The time Iordered food at the McDonald's drive-through speaker and then droveaway without picking it up from the window. (They all insisted Iinclude that.) I did not allow them to watch the Simpsons for thefirst two seasons. What was I thinking?

But the biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make whiledoing this. I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularlyclear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. Thereis one picture of the three of them, sitting in the grass on a quiltin the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages 6, 4 and 1. And Iwish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and howthey sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night.

I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing:dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a littlemore and the getting it done a little less.

Even today I'm not sure what worked and what didn't, what was me andwhat was simply life. When they were very small, I suppose I thoughtsomeday they would become who they were because of what I'd done. NowI suspect they simply grew into their true selves because theydemanded in a thousand ways that I back off and let them be. The bookssaid to be relaxed and I was often tense, matter-of-fact and I wassometimes over the top. And look how it all turned out. I wound upwith the three people I like best in the world, who have done morethan anyone to excavate my essential humanity. That's what the booksnever told me. I was bound and determined to learn from the experts. It just took me a while to figure out who the experts were.

Why oh why...

Does the water not work ...

~ on THE day I sleep in because I couldn't fall asleep til 4:30. And need coffee more than ever.

~ on the day Jayden has a nasty explosive "get everywhere" kind of poo? And I have no water to give her a bath. Or wash my own hands?

~ when I need to do a load of laundry to wash the swing cushion covered with above mentioned poo? Especially on a day when I need the swing more than ever.

Oh joy, I think it's going to be one of "those" days.

Cry Wolf

This morning I woke to the sounds of my sweet boy saying some not so sweet things through the baby monitor. Such things included. "ewwwwww" "uh oh" and "ahhh man."

I was really worried what I was going to find upon entering his room. Especially considering he has begun disrobing lately. First it was his pants, then pants and shirt, then yesterday he got his diaper partway off before I noticed. So I truely expected to find Trevor in the buff with poo everywhere.

Cautiously I peeked into his room and what did I see. My sweet boy fully clothed with a big grin on his face. Not even stinky. Maybe he thought I would get him out of bed if I thought he was stinky. If so it didn't work, I told him to lay down and go back to sleep. It was way to early to get up!

Or maybe he was just talking.

Joys of homeownership

We had a crew come out to put gutters on our house, thinking it was a simple procedure and an estimate was what we would be paying. Well when they started looking at the faschia (sp) they discovered the wood was rotten and the metal was bent up and would need replaced. Grrrrrr

The metal was 4.5o a foot and ALL needed to be replaced to prevent water from seeping under the gutters as it was pretty bent up from our crappy roofers that reroofed the house before we owned it. The wood was 2.50 a foot and luckily only about 20 feet needed to be replaced.

Sooooo... our $800 bid turned into $1400. Ouch! Well at least we have purdy new gutters and I can plant in the beds around our house. Well once I get some good soil in there. :o)
