Favorites and not so favorites

Loves at this current moment:
~ahhhhh bas! (kisses, both getting and giving)
~Climbing and standing on things he shouldn't be... and likes to bring it to our attention by hollering loudly
~sippy of milk
~Binkie... pacifier (only usually get it's at naptime and usually willingly gives it up when getting up
~Dancing (especially with Daddy)
~Oreo our Guinea Pig
~Anything with wheels (and has been since he could crawl)
~Hershey candy cane kisses... Mommas favorite too and we share them
~Books... chewing them, "reading" to himself, and us reading to him
~Magazines and Newspaper ads... carries them around and gets mad when I take them away becaue he starts eating them
~My camera, cell phone, computer mouse, keyboard... pretty much any gadget I don't let him play with
~Remote control... knows how to change channel and turn up volume, even though we push the button to change it to another universal function. He knows what button to push to get it back to TV
~Going "bye, bye"
~Pretty much anything on my desk surface that he shouldn't have
~Marshmallows... must think the melt in your mouth feel pretty funny. He thinks marshmallows are hilarious. (same goes for cotton candy)
~When momma flicks cheerios on his high chair... not a good habit to teach but he thinks it's pretty hysterical. If I flick them just right they ramp on the curve of the tray and get some pretty good air
~Pajamas - gets excited when we pull out his PJs

Not so good things:
~Noisy things... garbage disposal, hair dryer, vacuuum
~Strange objects where they shouldn't be(ie: something yucky on the bottom of moms foot causes huge freakouts)
~Santa Claus
~When we go "bye, bye" and he doesn't get out of the van til we get home
~When I take his picture and won't let him play with the camera
~Scotch tape... I was goofing around and stuck a piece of tape to him. He was not thrilled and tried to stick it to me. He kind of lost it when he couldn't get it off his finger.
~lately it's been taking naps and going to bed... huge fight sometimes unless he's really tired
~Oreo nibbling his finger
~When I'm chewing gum and blow bubbles... it scares him

New little habits he's picked up:
~In the morning first thing he must do before ANYTHING else is to stop and talk to Oreo and stick his fingers in oreos cage. (well until this morning anyway when Oreo nibbled his finger, he didn't bite hard!)
~When we go bye bye, waving and saying "bye bye bye bye bye bye..."
~And just tonight every time I took his picture he has this new "cheese pose" which involves tipping his head way back and making a strange face. Not sure what that's all about or how he picked that up.
~When he's "inspecting" something new or sees something he wants to check out he says "hmmm!?!?!" or "huh?!?!" notice the exclamation/question because when he says it... it is definately said that way.

Say Cheese

Lately it's been really hard to pull the camera out to take pictures because every time I do, Trevor gets mad when I don't let him have the camera. Today I was trying to take a picture of him playing with his new musical toys I got for him off of freecycle. I got out the camera and was able to get a few happy smiling pictures. He then started to throw a fit and after a minute stopped crying so I could take a few more smiling pictures, though he was smiling through the tears. He came after the camera again and again got mad when I wouldn't let him have it. After he stopped throwing the fit he put his new "cheese face" into practice. Not sure where that came from but every time I took the picture, he would throw his head back, open his mouth wide as he could, scrunch up his eyes and nose and say "eeeee." He did this for about 10 pictures! Maybe he was "working the camera" thinking he would get to play with it? Silly boy!

Pictures with Santa

We went to see Santa at the "other mall" since the Santa at my mall is a bad Santa. More about that later...

This year Trevor was a cautious observer when it came to Santa. He enjoyed seeing the display around Santa with all the big brightly wrapped presents, lights, and animated stuff. When it came to the traditional sit on Santa's lap pose Trevor wanted nothing to do with it. Trevor is just a tiny bit wary still of strangers, especially men so it didn't surprise me all that much. So Santa asked us all to be in the picture. He was really good and tried hard to gain Trevor's trust. I don't think I was looking my best as I wasn't prepared to have my picture taken with Santa.

After the picture we got takeout from Texas Roadhouse... YUM!!!

The last picture is the "bad Santa" from my mall. I wish I could say that Santa must have just been having a bad day but I don't think that is the case. Every time I walked past the area last year and again this year he had the same sour look on his face. And I'm sorry, but that Santa REALLY needs some new glasses. They are hideous to begin with, and not very santa-ish. And Santa last year told us, "I'll bring Trevor diapers and formula" I really wanted to tell Santa to save the formula because we don't use it, and not to bother with disposable diapers because we didn't use those either!

"Meatball"

On December 2nd we added a new member to the family. We got a 1 year old guinea pig. His given name by previous family was meatball. I thought it was kind of funny but we decided to change it to Oreo. Trevor loves to hang out with Oreo. The first thing Trevor does every morning is to run up to Oreo's cage and talk to him. He talks in a really high pitch amost squeal type voice. This tone is reserved only for Oreo. We've never heard him "talk" like this at any other time. Trevor has stuck his finger in the cage a few times and Oreo's nibbles scared him a bit. But Oreo didn't bite hard. He now knows not to stick his finger near Oreo's mouth.

Shadow

Trevor lately has loved seeing his reflection. He likes to kiss his reflection in the various mirrors on his toys. Trevor's sound he makes when kissing is "ahhhh bah!" So we often refer to kisses as "ah bah" This morning I heard a lot of "ahhhh bah's" coming from Trevor's playroom. I found him kissing the wall! I was a little confused as to why he would be kissing the wall until I noticed that with the sun coming into the room his shadow was on the wall and he was kissing his shadow!
