Walnuts and rocks and dirt, Oh my!

Current mood: content

Last week was pretty uneventful but there are some milestones worth mentioning and of course some pictures to share!
Last Sunday (the week before... not yesterday) Was a beautiful day and we went to a confirmation party for one of Travs cousins. It was nice to run into a couple of girls I used to work with. (they are family of an Ex wife of one of Travs uncles, I think?) The one did my hair for the wedding. And it was surprising to see that she had a baby of her own pretty close to the same age as Trevor.
It was fun watching them interact and it makes me realize we really need to get Trevor involved with kids his own age. He was not as interested in her as she was him. It was so cute! We plopped them both down on the top of the table and she kept grabbing him and kissing on him. Not sure if she was actually trying to kiss him or not but thats sure what it looked like. He wasnt completely indifferent to her... but one could definitely tell she was intruding on his comfort bubble. Id share a picture... but I don't have permission from her momma. So if you want to see you'll just have to click the link to my Kodak shared pictures (private to only those on my friends list) and view my photo album where I have all of my pictures. :o) Ill probably get them uploaded and shared in a few days.
Trevor also enjoyed hanging out with his Grandpa and Great Grandpa. He didn't want to sit still... he just crawled all over the place climbing up on people and begging for real food. Sunday he also had his first experiences sitting in the grass. At first he just sat there and touched the grass blades, smiling and looking around. Later when we got home we put him down in the grass again. Well our yard is more weeds than grass... but whatever. He really enjoyed exploring and tried to put everything into his mouth including walnuts, dirt, rocks, and grass. Hell probably be saying acky sometime soon. He and Kodi hung out for awhile. Kodi keeps trying to nose him to pet him and rolls over for Trevor to rub his belly. Trevor just likes to pull his hair and poke out his eyes!

Everyday Trevor gets better at climbing. We cant keep him from heading up the stairs anytime the gate is left open. He likes to go to the top and look through the rail. He also likes to play ball now. He can even roll it back. Though he doesn't have much control yet over which direction it goes. Pulling up on things is no longer difficult in the least bit. He climbs up on the gates and will shake them when he gets a little ticked off.

He just learned yesterday how to drink from a sippy cup. Hes been able to drink out of a cup without a lid for a couple of weeks, but hes pretty messy. So I'm happy that now he will drink that way. Its a lot less messy and he likes to do things himself so he was constantly grabbing the glass and making a mess. Hes getting pretty close to being able to eat chopped up table food. As it is we feed him crumbs off of our plates but he still mainly eats the baby food that I make up for him for his actual meals.

My first mothers day was uneventful but very relaxing. It was a gloomy day and we stayed home. I didn't change out of my Pajamas all day. Which is a pretty common thing for me on a Sunday. Trav bbq'd and had a grease fire on the grill. Lucky most all of the food was off the grill. These pictures were taken on Sunday.

Hmmmm let's see what else...
He's been a lot more vocal this last week. He says mamamama all the time. Sometimes it's just mum, and sometime it's mom. He learned "huh?" from his baby Einstein video. We say "huh?" back and forth a lot now and he thinks it's pretty funny. He also likes to make the "p" sound by by popping his lips. He also says "bob" a lot. We have no idea why on that one but sometimes it sounds like "ba"

We just got a DVD burner so I'm sure over the next few days Ill be backing up all of our files onto DVDs and messing around with it. Anyways... our pizza is ready and I'm hungry

blah, blah, blah

Current mood: sleepy

Grrrr!!!! I had just typed up a nice long blog and a damn pop up ate my browser when I was in another window checking mail. Hit the back button and all that was left was the subject. Pisses me off! I think my computer has a virus because I'm getting nasty pop ups from all kinds of crazy places. Yikes!

Anyway... I was saying that this week past week was much better than the week before. Not that it takes that much! I have a bunch more photos to put up this week. I just finished editing them and will upload them here soon.

Unlucky for me, Trevor inherited his mama's eyes. Which means that if there is ever a picture taken with flash our eyes are red. I think pretty much every picture taken of me has red eyes. Thank you Adobe, for photoshop, so I can edit them out. :o) But it's still a major pain in the ass!
Trevor is being clingy this evening and won't go to sleep or even hang out in his swing alone tonight. He for the moment, is moment sitting here peacefully as I type. Which I'm sure will not last. He's sooo tired but he's putting up good fight the last few days. Last night he didn't go to sleep until after 2 am.

I'm sure my blog is pretty boring reading for most of you on my friends list. Hehehehe even Travis doesn't read it. ~pouts~ He says... "why read it, because I live it?" I think though it's because it bores him to tears. And that's ok. Because I don't write to entertain anyone... I write this to keep a journal for Trevor. Since I'm too lazy to write in his baby book this is the next best thing. So if someday I get around to filling in the blank pages that are his baby book, I'll have actually correct information... not just made up stuff! And also since I'm too lazy to write letters or even type emails to let people know what we are up to this works out good for those that actually want to know.

So if my blogs bore you to tears like they do Travis I got a tip for you... stop reading because it ain't getting any better than this.

Some pictures and HAPPY ramblings Current mood: bored
As some of you have noticed last night and today, I'm experimenting with getting photos in my blog... and today I have success!!! (FYI... to put photos in your blog all you have to do is copy and paste from somewhere... but first they need too be a smallish pic or they are huge in here. I uploaded to flickr and just use the the thumbnail picture to copy and viola!) Jeez this only took me about 5 hours of experimenting to figure out. Who woulda thunk that the simplest means would be what it took, I was trying html code and all kinds of crap.
Ok, so now that I know how to share pictures I'll share some of my favorites of what's been going on this past week.

The pictures above were taken Friday. Trevor discovered the stairs. He really seemed to enjoy climbing up the stairs and found his way into his own bedroom to get into stuff. His room is a big mess right now, pretty much covered in clothes given to him by Grandma B.

The 3 photos above pretty much sum up his personality recently. The first one shows his 2 new teeth that are coming in, though not very clearly. The 2nd is his favorite lounging position when he's in his high chair. He does that all the time. And the 3rd... he is climbing on EVERYTHING his swing is no longer a swing, apparently it's a jungle gym!

And lastly... those of you who "know" my dog will get a kick out of this. Kodi gets really hot in the summer (he has seizures and his coat is really thick.) Well we decided to shave him. I'm a DIY kinda gal and couldn't bring myself to pay $80 to get him shaved when you can buy clippers for $20. His coat must be pretty rough on the clippers though because they crapped out over halfway through. So now Kodi's sporting a Lion 'do. It's really funny, pictures just don't do it justice. His coat that is left is super soft and reminds me of a baby lamb. Hmmmm a cross between a lion and and a lamb. That's kind of ironic!

I just couldn't stop laughing once we got to this point. We exchanged the clippers to finish up but I'm kinda enjoying having a pet "lion" hehehehe he doesn't seem to notice. I suppose if it nice out tomorrow I'll finish it up. In case you're wondering Kodi is 1/2 black lab, 1/4 golden retriever, 1/4 Siberian husky.

Hehehehe and I have to share this picture. Our idea to shave Kodi came from Trav's mom last summer who shaved their dog. So this is Charlie sporting her new 'do. Sorry Jamie for scamming your picture but I had to... I nearly fell outta my chair laughing when I saw it. Poor dog looks like a cartoon. LMAO... I'm still laughing 3 days later. Trav said she looked pretty funny and I haven't seen her yet.

Well that's it for me tonight. Trevor's on a warpath tonight... what a crabby butt. Laterz
Oh and by the way Lisa... Trevor was born 8-24-05. So he's 8 months old

My day... Murder, Mayhem, and terrorism... WTF???

Current mood: Enraged, Drained, scared, and a little depressed :

~Chanting ~ I love my job... I love my job... I love my job.

Ok.... So let me start by saying as weeks go this one has been really shitty. Bar none, the shittiest week of this entire year. It's been pissy customer after pissy customer. Major problems to straighten out. They say bad things come in threes, well this week is multiples of multiples of threes. Lovely week to be a manager. ~deep breath~

So after yesterday I was about at the end of my rope so I told G that I would be taking some time off today and coming in at 4. I had a nice relaxing morning surfing the net and hanging out with my guys. When the time came for me to go to work, whamo my headache comes back. Hmmmm tension headache maybe?

So that brings me to the events of today. So I come into work and G is dealing with a person. There is a confusion on what his insurance covers and is upset that he had to pay $40. I told him to call his insurance company and that there wasn't more I could do. That we could give him a receipt to submit to his insurance company and he should get some $ back from them.
Soooo... this asshole gets this furious (scary) look on his face and his hands get kinda shaky and this guy says to us, "Now I know why people walk into pizza hut and kill a bunch of people and why people blow up places like the world trade center" OMG!!!! That was extremely scary and so I told him not to threaten me and that he needed to leave. I also paged security. He said, "I'm not threatening you, I'm just saying..." and he said it again. I told him it was a threat and he needed to leave. He said the same damn thing several times with me telling him with more force every time that he needed to leave.

He finally left just as one of the managers was rounding the corner. It didn't freak me out so bad when he was there, but after he was gone and it sunk in that there was a tiny chance that he could come back with a gun or something for real and shoot up the place. I kinda lost it.

Somewhat of a mental breakdown after the week that I had. I couldn't stop thinking that he was going to come back and kill us. It made me think about all of the crazies that have done just what he said, what took those people to the brink, and didn't he have to be at least a little bit crazy to say something like that? I mean come on, what kind of person would do something like that over FORTY DOLLARS!!!!!

I don't think I have ever been that shaken, I couldn't stop crying. I was scared to death to be alone in the store. So then G and I went and talked to the manager of the sears store. So we called the police and they came and got our statements. Thank God she told us to close early. So after it all we went home at about 6:30. It took awhile to get everything taken care of... statements written, security camera installed, statements again given to the police.

Funny thing is, he was not an anonymous person. He had come in for an exam the day before so we had ALL of his info, name, address, DOB, place of employment, etc. So the psycho is getting a visit from the police tonight. I wish they'd haul his ass to jail, though I know that isn't gonna happen. I told the cops to tell him he is never welcome back in the store. They said if he does to call them again. So he really was a dumb ass... making threats like that when we know who he is.

So the silver lining is that I worked a really short day today... worked only from 4-6:30 and got home earlier than I have in a really long time. God, I'm ready for this hell week to be over. I only got tomorrow left and then I'm off for 2 days. Yee haw... I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring.

I dread going into work tomorrow... I don't love my job anymore and that makes me really sad. I used to love going into work for the most part. I haven't really liked my job for the most part since I came back from maternity leave. And not only just because I have a baby now. Things have just really sucked hardcore since about December, and have only really started to get better in the the last 3 weeks or so. I started feeling better about things and then this week happened.
I guess I can only hope that next week is better
