Walnuts and rocks and dirt, Oh my!

Current mood: content

Last week was pretty uneventful but there are some milestones worth mentioning and of course some pictures to share!
Last Sunday (the week before... not yesterday) Was a beautiful day and we went to a confirmation party for one of Travs cousins. It was nice to run into a couple of girls I used to work with. (they are family of an Ex wife of one of Travs uncles, I think?) The one did my hair for the wedding. And it was surprising to see that she had a baby of her own pretty close to the same age as Trevor.
It was fun watching them interact and it makes me realize we really need to get Trevor involved with kids his own age. He was not as interested in her as she was him. It was so cute! We plopped them both down on the top of the table and she kept grabbing him and kissing on him. Not sure if she was actually trying to kiss him or not but thats sure what it looked like. He wasnt completely indifferent to her... but one could definitely tell she was intruding on his comfort bubble. Id share a picture... but I don't have permission from her momma. So if you want to see you'll just have to click the link to my Kodak shared pictures (private to only those on my friends list) and view my photo album where I have all of my pictures. :o) Ill probably get them uploaded and shared in a few days.
Trevor also enjoyed hanging out with his Grandpa and Great Grandpa. He didn't want to sit still... he just crawled all over the place climbing up on people and begging for real food. Sunday he also had his first experiences sitting in the grass. At first he just sat there and touched the grass blades, smiling and looking around. Later when we got home we put him down in the grass again. Well our yard is more weeds than grass... but whatever. He really enjoyed exploring and tried to put everything into his mouth including walnuts, dirt, rocks, and grass. Hell probably be saying acky sometime soon. He and Kodi hung out for awhile. Kodi keeps trying to nose him to pet him and rolls over for Trevor to rub his belly. Trevor just likes to pull his hair and poke out his eyes!

Everyday Trevor gets better at climbing. We cant keep him from heading up the stairs anytime the gate is left open. He likes to go to the top and look through the rail. He also likes to play ball now. He can even roll it back. Though he doesn't have much control yet over which direction it goes. Pulling up on things is no longer difficult in the least bit. He climbs up on the gates and will shake them when he gets a little ticked off.

He just learned yesterday how to drink from a sippy cup. Hes been able to drink out of a cup without a lid for a couple of weeks, but hes pretty messy. So I'm happy that now he will drink that way. Its a lot less messy and he likes to do things himself so he was constantly grabbing the glass and making a mess. Hes getting pretty close to being able to eat chopped up table food. As it is we feed him crumbs off of our plates but he still mainly eats the baby food that I make up for him for his actual meals.

My first mothers day was uneventful but very relaxing. It was a gloomy day and we stayed home. I didn't change out of my Pajamas all day. Which is a pretty common thing for me on a Sunday. Trav bbq'd and had a grease fire on the grill. Lucky most all of the food was off the grill. These pictures were taken on Sunday.

Hmmmm let's see what else...
He's been a lot more vocal this last week. He says mamamama all the time. Sometimes it's just mum, and sometime it's mom. He learned "huh?" from his baby Einstein video. We say "huh?" back and forth a lot now and he thinks it's pretty funny. He also likes to make the "p" sound by by popping his lips. He also says "bob" a lot. We have no idea why on that one but sometimes it sounds like "ba"

We just got a DVD burner so I'm sure over the next few days Ill be backing up all of our files onto DVDs and messing around with it. Anyways... our pizza is ready and I'm hungry
