~The first moment when she was on my tummy and turned out her lip to pout and let out a little wail. That pouty lip will undoubtedly win her some battles in the future if we aren’t careful
~ In the hospital she would look at us with her one eye (left?) closed and the other eye open.
~ Tiny, tiny little fingers wrapped around mine
~ Her perfect rosebud lips. It’s funny how clearly they showed up on the ultrasound. The ultrasound tech even said, “Look at those rosebud lips”
~She usually sleeps so soundly with her arms outstretched above her head
~ When she wakes she stretches her arms a little, then a little more, straightens out and stretches her legs, yawns a little, smacks her lips a few times then her eyes slowly flutter open.
~ When she’s nursing and swallows too much milk and gets a little cough. It’s a delicate little girly cough and the way she “nods” her head as she coughs. It’s cute, though the first time she “choked” it scared the crap out of me and I though she stopped breathing and it took awhile for Travis to calm me down.
~ When she’s ready to nurse the “rooting” that she does and little “snorkel” noises she makes when she’s hungry
~ Most precious of all is the wide open mouth smiles she flashes when she sleeps. She’s got a dimple on her left check just like her mama
~ She is the wiggliest baby EVER I think. She can bust out of the tightest swaddle in nothing flat. So far we have not been able to keep her hands in a swaddle yet. She is able to even break free of swaddling in the “amazing miracle blanket” that kept Trevor swaddled until he was almost 3 months old.
~ Wiggling continued… she has numerous times wiggled out of her diaper! I thought it was just because of the biliblanket, but nope, she has wiggled her behind out of the diaper on four occasions since being taken off the blanket. Wiggly baby = big messes!
~ Nuzzling her soft fuzzy head. I ~LOVE~ fuzzy baby heads. Her hair is so soft and fine. I’m sure it’s going to fall out so I’m loving every minute of baby fuzz.
~ The expression on her face is so cute when she is soundly sleeping. Her lower lip is pursed out a bit and it almost looks likes she’s grumpy
~ The soundness of her sleep when she’s been sleeping in my arms for awhile. I can pick up her arm a little bit and let go and it just flops… she doesn’t even stir. That is until I put her down and then she’s wide awake (well sometimes anyway… usually when I most want her to stay asleep then she wakes up)
~ The intentness of her gaze when she is in her quiet/alert state. She stares very intently at my face, out the window, or at an object. A few days ago she stared at Trevor’s green ducky he got for Easter for nearly 15 minutes.
~ The “startle reflex” when she sleeps sometimes. She’s not near as bad with it as Trevor was. He would wake himself up so easily.
~ She’s such a good sleeper. For the last week she’s been sleeping a stretch of 5-6 hours at night
~ When she is done nursing the contented sigh and milky lips
~ When she’s hungry how she grasps and pulls anything she can get a hold of towards her face.
