Somehow between when Jayden came home from the hospital and today Trevor has had a language explosion. The funniest thing is that he picked up a handful of food words/expressions when he was sick and not eating. So here is a run down of the vocabulary he has picked up in the last 2 weeks.
~ “oooohh was zat!?!?!” with much emphasis to ask about something that catches his interest. When he was supposed to be napping yesterday he said this about 30 times. I had a bunch of clothes lying on the floor in his room so I think that was what he was talking about, though I’m not exactly sure.
~ “more” with hand outstretched. Indicating that he wants what you are eating, not necessarily more of what he already has.
~ “all gone” with both hands out, palms up
~all of the above can be combined for effectiveness. Ie: I’m eating a granola bar and he says “oooohh was zat?!?!” So I tell him, “granola bar” and he says “more?” So I give him 1 for each hand because he has to have 2 pieces or he gets mad, yet he promptly says “more” I say, “you need to finish what you have” he crams the rest into his mouth and says “more” with more emphasis
~”otay” said to Jayden when crying to tell her “it’s ok”
~ “yet’s go” with much excitement, when we go “bye, bye”
~ “ooooohh see coot” Referring to Jayden and that she is cute. We got this one pretty much for the first few days home from the hospital, but not so much lately
~ “bay” as in baby, usually said when I’m looking at baby/small child pictures on the computer
~ Also fruit, go, hi, ow
I’m sure there are more but that’s all I can think of for now.
