Jayden 6 Months checkup

Jayden's 6 month check was today and wowzers she's a big girl. The doctor said she should be a poster child for breastfeeding. :o) Here's her stats:

Height 26 3/4" (90%)
Weight 18 lb 7 oz (90%)
Head 42.5 cm (90%)

We were there for a long time because Trevor had a mystery rash we wanted to get looked at while we were there and they had to work him in. It was soooo much fun to entertain a 2 year old while trying to hold a squirming baby. They gave him crayons and he had more fun with the tin they came in than using them for what they are for. They both got tortured a bit: throat culture and flu shot for Trevor and 3 shots for Jayden. Jayden cried big crocodile tears after her shots for a minute but after a quick nursie all was forgotten. Trevor was mad at the nurses after the throat culture. He hid behind the examining table when they came back in to give him the shots. I had to pull him out. He's probably scarred from the last time we were there and they drew his blood!

When were on the way out the door the nurse who poked him walked by and he scowled at her big time. LOL, I didn't recognize her but he sure did and she asked him, "are you still mad at me?" Then he turned away from her. They gave him a yummy juice box. LOL, I had never given him one before so he wasn't quite sure what to do with it. He thought it was pretty cool though when he realized he could squeeze the box and shoot juice everywhere. Ack sticky mess everywhere.

We have to go back in 30 days for flu booster shots. Trevor's mystery rash she thinks is an allergic reaction to who knows what so he was ok to go to day care. And our pediatrician who we adore gave me the news that October 31st is her last day and she will be taking a position at U of I. "Travis asked what is it with you and scaring away doctors????" So far since Trevor was born both my OB's and now our pediatrician? And all three were my favorites of doctors. ~Sigh~

Tonight was fun in our house as both kiddos were cranky after the shots and Trevor has been under the weather for the last few days. He snuggled up on the floor with my boppy and a blanket and watched the entire cars movie from start to finish pretty much without moving. That's a first.
