Jayden is really having difficulty with sleeping these days. She fights sleep and then when she conks out in our arms she wakes the second we put her down and freaks out. She used to sleep so good in her bassinet but now she is getting to big for it and we're trying to transition her into her crib for fear she's going to fall out of the bassinet.
With Trevor we co-slept until he was about a year. Jayden doesn't do well with co-sleeping. She kicks, squirms and is generally restless in her sleep. So I nurse her in bed and then when she's sleeping I stick her in her bassinet and she'll sleep for the good part of the night. But now I'm waking to her pulling up on the sides of it. So what's a mamma to do? I've tried nursing her to sleep and then taking her to her crib but then she wakes up the minute I lay her in her crib.
So at the moment I'm trying to let her cry it out. It breaks my heart to listen to her cry. Though screaming is more like it. I'm going in about every 5 minutes or so. She's so hysterical she doesn't even stop when I'm trying to consol her by rubbing her head and tummy. I don't know what to do. This is by far the hardest part so far with her. :o(
Ahhh, silence! For the moment she has stopped crying. I really hope she has fallen asleep. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. We let Trevor CIO but when he was much older.
