Trevor has been quite the communicator these days. He sometimes gets frustrated when we don't know what he's trying to say. Up until the last few weeks it was things that we could easily understand mixed with alot of jibberish. Now he's vocalizing his wants and needs. Asking for snacks, milk, books, stories, night night, etc.
For the last few weeks the moment I walk into house after work he points at the TV and says watch. Even if he's watching something he wants me to pick him up to pick out a new video. The last few days the "watch" has turned in to repetedly saying, "choo choo thomas" "bob" "iggles" "blue" He will say them over and over. If he says, "iggles" it doesn't necessarily mean he wants to watch Wiggles. It means he wants me to pick him up to pick out a movie. I'll put in the one he picks out and he throws a fit, apparently thinking that he wants to watch something else or throwing a fit for no reason. And if he is happy when the movie starts in 10 minutes he's asking to watch something different.
Tonight he said what I think was his first 4 word sentence. He said, "you watch blues clues?" I was pretty shocked. I just can't believe how his communication has changed in the last 2 weeks. It really is amazing.
This morning he started out saying "Ah-bis" over and over and over. He said it probably about 50 times in a hour and a half. He was pointing in the computer room, then the kitchen, then the living room. I had no idea what it was. Travis came home he said maybe he was saying "Travis" I thought that was probably the most logical possibility. So we waited to see if he started saying it again. And sure enough he did but was pointing in the other room. So I don't think that's it. We thought maybe it was kiss? So we did the guessing game and asked if it was a kiss he wanted. He said, "Newwww!" That's his whiny no. So the "ah-bis" continued well into the evening and we still have no idea what he's trying to say. He said it probably 300 times by the end of the day! Any ideas?
update: "Ah-bis" is "Have this"
