Trevor speak

I still have some back posts to do but jeez I'm so tired all the time! I still have to post Christmas stuff... lol! So come back soon and scroll down. Trevor is saying some really cute stuff these days though I thought I'd jump on and jot it all down!

Trevor chatters all day, mainly lots and lots of jibberish. It's so funny it cracks me up. Sometime when he's talking to me he gets real close to my face or puts his hand on my cheek and talks soooo seriously. I want to know so badly what he's saying. The other thing that he does all the time is talk on the "phone." Anything can be a phone for him, his hand, a block, the remote whatever. Tonight during dinner it was his spoon! He'll hold it up to his ear and chatter away. It was so funny, the other night he was "yelling" at someone on the phone. He was really chewing someone's behind good! Bad mommy... he learned that from me. Earlier in the day I was talking to my mom about my insanely crappy day at work and I have a tendancy to get pretty animated when I'm talking about stuff that irritates me. I wanted to get it on video but by the time I got to the camera he stopped.

Trevor still doesn't have too many words. I would say maybe about 10 or so. There are some people in this email group that I belong to with toddlers the same age as Trevor and some of them say 75 words. Trevor I would say is more focused on developing his motor skills. More on that later. Maybe next post.

Mainly he says mama, dada, bye bye really clearly. Some other things that he says that are a little harder to distinguish are: "see it?" when he wants something lately we hear that about a hundred times a day. "Zat?!?!?!" for what's that, used in replace of or in conjunction to "see it?" Or he'll say "Zis" as in what's this. He's just learning to climb up on the couch the last few days and when he does he says "Yeah, did it!" in a voice that shows how proud he is of himself. He also climbs in his toy box, closes the lid and pops his head out and says "there he is!" Everytime I or DH come home as soon as we walk in the door we get a jubilant long drawn out "hi!!!"

And then he has a naughty word he says from time to time. Though he doesn't say it as much as he used to a month or 2 ago. He says "sh$t" I'm hoping that since he hasn't said it as much that is due to us doing a better job not saying it. I catch myself from time to time though :o( And man did it come out clear as day too. Kinda embarassing.
