My little bruiser
Last night Trevor decided to take a head dive into the doorway. He has developed this new little habit of looking up at the ceiling and trying to walk. I think he is trying to show of just how coordinated he really is. Well tonight he wasn't so coordinated. I think he tripped over a toy or something because the next thing I know he's screaming bloody murder. So I jumped into mommy mode and scooped up my boy to try and quiet his screams. I pulled him from my shoulder and there was blood all over his mouth!Once we got the blood mostly cleaned up we saw that all of his teeth at least were intact, but his lip was gashed pretty good. For a minute we were fearing a trip to the emergency room (can they do much for a gashed lip???) Once the bleeding stopped he was in a fairly good mood, though he sucked on his lip for the rest of the night. This morning it's still pretty plump but it doesn't seem to bother him.

Mouth cuts are horrible...they gush blood, and make parents flip out. About the only thing that the hospital can do is put in stitches, but usually mouth bleeds slow down after a few minutes...it's just that first few minutes are hell!
