A nameless face in the crowd

I wanted to keep a blog to keep my friends and family in touch with what is going on in my son's life. A friend talked me into creating a myspace. Now don't get me wrong, I love myspace and will continue to keep a space. However, it wasn't all that private. And friends of friends were friends with people I'm not so keen on knowing my business.

So then myspace allows for us adults some privacy to make private profiles. A big win, and I was going to make myspace private. Then I thought of friends and family who visited myspace and weren't in the network. So I decided to create a blog here, link to it on myspace when I post, and put myspace private. Everybody wins. :o)

I don't know why this took me so long to figure out. Duh! But anyway... so this is my new blog. :o) For now anyway, I'll see if I like blogger. If not I'll wander off in search of greener pastures. So all of the posts prior to this one are copied from various other places I've lived on the Internet.

A lot has been going on in our lives. Trevor turns 1 this month. Gosh, it's crazy how quickly my baby is growing up! He's on the move big time now. Look out world... he's walking now! He eats like a pig as always. He would eat non stop if he could. He's also turning into quite the chatterbox. He babbles most of the day away. It's so funny, I wish I could understand what he is saying. He sits and "reads" to himself. He loves to play with his board books these days.

He hollers at us to get our attention. The other day he hollered out to Travis "Daaaaa - DE" in a very demanding tone. His most used word is still Mama... and he says it about a hundred times a day! I just keep listening to his babbles, trying to see if there are words he's sneaking in there. I think he said bath last week, well actually it was more like, "ba" but he used it in context so I think that's what he was saying. I told him we were going to go up and get him in the bath. He got all excited, and I put him down to gather up a diaper and some other stuff. He took off and moved toward the steps. I followed him up the steps and he was all excited, and said "ba" a couple of times. He crawled into the bathroom, pulled up on the tub with a big smile. We haven't had a repeat performance, so maybe it was a fluke, but I don't think so.

I've been busy working on Trevor's baby book, actually it's a digital scrapbook I'm making with photoshop. I'm learning as I go and having fun (though sometimes I get throw-stuff-at-the-computer-pissed-off) I'm getting faster. The first page took something like 10 hours to complete. The last one took maybe an hour. I wanted to have it done before his birthday party for everyone to look at but that's not gonna happen. My new goal is to have 8 pages done.

Let's see, it's been awhile since I wrote anything so of course a lot has been going on. Many times I've been compelled to write, but too lazy to do anything about it. It's a good thing I take a lot of pictures. And that the digital camera embeds the date and time into the picture. Lately it seems I only upload the pics off my camera once a month or so. That will make it easy to go back and fill in the blanks of the baby book with all of his firsts; because usually I'm quick to snap a picture or 50.

Maybe I'll try and upload some pictures one of these days so you all can see how much he's grown. Of course he's as photogenic as always. The little turkey loves the camera, so much so that even when I'm trying to snap a picture of him concentrating on a new toy or something, as soon as he hears the shutter opening he turns to give me a big cheesy grin. Though now it's more like, big cheesy grin, then try to grab the camera, and through a big huge tantrum when I won't let him have it. ~Sigh~ hopefully he goes back to just cheesy grin boy soon so I can snap his picture in peace and not give myself a headache.

Anyway... it's late and I'm tired
